Milan Situm

Vice President & Senior Geophysicist (Engineering Division)

Mr. Situm has been employed in the niche market of geophysical applications for Civil, Structural, Geotechnical and Geological Engineering as well as applications to Hydrogeology and Environmental Assessments for over 30 years. Following completion of his Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Earth Science (Geophysics) from the University of Waterloo. He is a licensed member of the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario and is involved as a member of organizations including the Engineering and Environmental Geophysical Society, the Canadian Exploration Geophysics Society, the Prospectors and Developers Association, and the Canadian Dam Association. Mr. Situm is currently the Vice President of Engineering applications for Simcoe Geoscience Limited, responsible for all proposals, design of field programs and reviewing of all reports.

Mr. Situm is well versed in the applications and methodologies required to provide geophysical services related to engineering and environmental projects. He has worked extensively with the multitude of seismic techniques both time-domain and frequency domain (refraction, reflection, MASW, MAM, HVSR, etc.) many forms of electromagnetic methods, many forms of electrical methods, ground penetrating radar, borehole logging techniques and marine geophysical surveying (bathymetry, SSS, sub-bottom profiling and all the land techniques that have been modified for marine).
